French Culinary Institute

This evening I sat in on a level 2 Pastry Arts class at the FCI. I also handed in my application for the Pastry Arts course starting in mid-August. I can't believe it, I'm really doing this!

Anyway, the class was amazing. All the chef instructors were nice and welcoming, and I actually knew a couple of the answers to the questions they posed to the class! It looks like really hard work, but really fun! I can't wait!

After the class, I met my mom at L'Ecole, the FCI's restaurant, for dinner. Yum! It was good food, good portions, and great service. And the truffled mac and cheese was absolutely amazing! They gave us packages of cookies to take home as well, the perfect end to the night!
